Hey all, im just getting back into Diablo for the first time in a few years. What is the go to for mfing with a sorc? Ive been seeing pure light, but also some hybrid builds. Any insight would be awesome. What works best, what gear should be used? Again, any info is greatly appreciated! This is NL if that makes any difference?

yes! light sorc best
but if you dont have infinity you can use blizz sorc with good merc
or orb/hydra, orb/FB also work without infinity
as for gear its hard to beat tals set imo

nice for any sorc build has alot of base life res +skills and mf

Cost for cost a Blizz Sorc is most efficient imo. You can set up a decent one for like 50 fg whereas a Light Sorc will cost nothing short of 2.5-3k with current prices. I'd go with Blizz into Light once prices drop more. No point of spending 3k on a Sorc in hopes to find 3k of it back; you're more likely to lose money or spend a ton more hours just to break even.

Hybrid to get through the game, then it all depends on what you want to farm / how you like to play.

I have been loving fireball/hydra for durance level 3 full clears.

Blizzard is awesome.

lightning without infinity can work if you farm the right spots.

IMO the best hybrid is orb/nova but you need to stick to p3 pit farming and key running until you get much better gear.

Ive been leaning towards Lightning/Infinity merc build. The way im understanding, that can pretty well do it all?

Sure but you don't have to be able to do all areas to mf effectively.
