So i was interested in doing my 1st ladder char. as a hybrid and have never ran Hydra before. Usually firewall before the nerf but have heard good things about hydra lately so figured i would give it a go.

Was in game and talking to people about possibly doing Orb-Hydra and was told it wasn't worth it and Blizz Hydra was way better of the 2 combos. I looked for a pure blizz hydra guide and couldn't really find one but seen multiple orb hydra ones.

So is Blizz Hydra tons better of the 2 and if so for what reasons and even more so a link to a recommended guide for blizz hydra sorc would be appreciated as well.

Not sure if enough has changed to make Hydra / Blizzard viable. Blizzard needs too many points in synergies to invest 40+ in fire tree.

Hydra orb should be viable. Orb kills in hell with no synergy investment, though cold mastery should be stated to reach 17 at least after +skills.

Old school build was
20 Hydra, FB, FM
20 Orb, X to CM
1 teleport, static and all pre-recs.

CM is the last one to push, and there might be spares to put here too.

See this was my thought too on the blizz setup i was trying to figure out where all the points were coming from to make blizz really hit hard enough to matter. Thats why i was wanting a guide to see the correct setup to make it work right and be super effective.
