whats a build I can do on my sorc and my sorc's merc for around 300fg SC ladder
I already have a wiz spike, a 35fcr spirit monarch on my sorc, and my a3 holy freeze merc has a vampire gaze helmet, non eth cryptic axe with high damage and 17 med, and an eth treachery. but he still dies a lot
any suggestions? Currently a lightning sorc but I'm reading I should go blizz since no infinity? how should I gear the both of us? any other suggestions?

Bump. Idk why my merc dies so much
same for me. i die so easily, my gear isn't that terrible I thought. wiz spike, maras, shako, viper magi. max res (except fire). mf rings, boots, chance guards, goldwrap. no anni or torch

The best sorc on a budget is blizz. By far. Try to get a reapers toll for your merc, act 2 might aura.

Hydra + Orb

Typical items like occy, shako, skulders, spirits, torch, anni, magefists, arach, 1x soj, 1x mf ring, maras, cta, insight merc

Output: Mass daamge

No merc is bullet proof or can tank anything. They only have 3 item slots. Your setup seems okay. You can't let them take on boss packs and such alone. I think that either ebodt war pike or eth reaper's toll are the only two weapons that makes mercs the most durable, attacks lightning fast and sucks so much life from monsters. Reaper's slows them down too. Insight is a big advantage for sorceresses so that would be a big trade-off. Better to keep the aura and play a little bit more defensively.

I use um’d guaridian angel and ort’d crown of thieves. It can tank quite a bit with 90 fire and lightning res plus life leech. It rarely dies at trav and meph unless he is amp’d.

what weapon does your merc use? and aura?



eth reapers toll, and ebotd, those are way too pricey he can't seem to take on normal enemies sometimes.



non eth reapers toll will suffice? no mana regen that way though right?

level 80 blizzard sorc
Isted wiz spike, p topaz shako, 20 resistance maras amulet, 35fcr spirit monarch, p topaz 32 res vipermagi, chance guards, 2mf rings, 34% mf boots with 34 defense (found them, free vs expensive war travs), upped goldwrap, 3 bo cta
I don't have anni, torch, gheeds. 2 small health charms, 2 mf sc's
247 into vitality. I have 1,100 health after bo, 115 fcr, 55 fhr, 287 mf, max res except fire at 47

My merc has non eth Cryptic axe (CA) insight, 17 med 254 ed (125-531 damage of weapon), vampire gaze 7ll, 17% damage reduction, treachery eth wire fleece 613 def

I use eth insight with prayer aura. When running Trav, I mostly skip the cold immune one.

does he do a lot of damage? which eth insight? cryptic axe?

It is okay, he can kill cold immune pindleskin fairly quickly. And this is the only cold immune that I try to kill when mfing.
