Cold easily does Arcane and Countess, if you can get Slain Monsters RIP with a Lawbringer Frenzy Barb Merc from A5, I'm sure Nilhathak would be just as easy to do.

countess is always immune to cold and fire so merc has to kill her

Lightning/Nova does fine if you get a natures peace ring for nilathak

I learned that if you just lure the monsters away with your Merc on Nihlathak, you can just telestomp him with less threat. He can still spawn monsters, but it's a lot easier to farm without Vipers a threat. I don't know if Vipers were immune to Cold, but Nihlathak farming is easy with a Cold Sorc just as long as your Merc has *some* gear.
