Finally got my 2 best friends to tryout D2R. They grinded Diablo3 but missed out greatness of D2 on pc era….

One is going sorceress, the other is going summon necro.

Which character should I play to aid/support them in grinding through the game? Not doing grushes. We will xp farm trist/ tombs and walk through the rest…

Was thinking a aura din to give conc/fana to necros minions or better to be conviction pally for sorc or BO Barb?

if HC go BO

if softcore go Foh paladin with auras for utility

can play around with what auras to use Foh only requires 40 points(not counting pre reqs)

Fun note:
could go summon druid and just have all the summons :D

Why are you doing trist runs and tombs instead of just playing the game if it's their first time playing? I wish I could play the game again for the first time, definitely wouldn't want it ruined by doing trist runs / tombs if I didn't know why :S

On topic though:
Pally for conviction is great, you can put a point in rest in peace aura to suck up dead corpses and make your friend hate life / same with barb, bo is cool and you can always use find item to get dem epix for your friends / yourself :)

Conviction is probably the best. It helps out skeletons by lowering enemy defense, making them hit much more often. Just don't make the necro use mages.

Druid or Paladin. Druid can go windy with Necro Amp Support, while providing tanky summons and oak HP. If you're walking, then being away from your party is not as much as an issue.
