If i wear a +3 cold skill ammy.. do those skills not work towards synergy bonus damage?

as in i will get +3 to blizzard but i will not recieve the bonus from blast, bolt and spike from those 3 skills right?

Correct, anything where you physically do not click your hard points into do not count for synergies.

A +3 skills amulet is only valuable at the beginning because 3 skillpoints can really boost up your damage in the early game where literally everything else you're using is either temp or complete garbage.

When you get to a point where you're using Tals/Maras/Craft casters, 3 skill amulet is just vendor food.

Well i mean.. i am blizz sorc.. i obviously put points into blast, bolt and spike.. and since i added hard points into those.. does a +3 cold skill ammy add to those skills boost to blizzard?

It will add +3 to all skills on the cold tree, but any extra synergies that skills would give to each other (i.e. the additional percentage bonus of cold damage to Blizzard from Ice Blast) is not factored in.

i am a lvl 80 blizz sorc with blizz and its synergies max.. do i lose damage or gain damage going from a +3 cold skill ammy to maras?

You gain because those plus 3 go towards raising blizzard skill level and cold mastery.

It just doesnt add plus 3 to glacial, ice blast, ice bolt plus 5% synergy to blizzard.

So with maras you would get 2 to blizz and cold mastery instead of 3 with random 3 cold skill amulet. 2 to all adds to your bo, teleport, warmth, etc so its a tradeoff of damage versus survivability.

If you dont need the res or 5 to attributes the 3 cold skiller ammy is better.

Imo I would do maras, more life and res makes up for extra 1 to blizz and cold mastery.

Iirc the only skills in the entire game that do benefit from these + gear skill synergies are druid summon skills

And specifically only bear and wolves
