I took a few months off and decided to wait for new ladder update, so I'm a bit out of the loop. With the class adjustments and new rune words, what are the new top builds now?

Top builds are more or less the same but fist of the heavens is actually decent now in chaos sanctuary.

That and it only takes 47 or so skill points to max and the aura doesnt matter there because everything is demon or undead so go nuts with whatever aura you need.

Hammerdin >= lightning sorc > anything, the same it's always been

Some cool things to try:
Foh smiter (same as hammerdin smiter, but you use foh instead! :O)
Foh pally
Summon druid

Hork barbs got a decent buff, gaining +20% chance to find item due to find potion synergy

Plague java, as well as all now amazons got buffed so much that they are viable choices now

I'm somehow finding Blizz Sorc to be a much better farmer in CS this go around. Not sure if it's cause Blizz Orb is a lot better due to buffs, or I'm just more used to it with completely garbage gear, but imo Blizz Sorc still takes top spot for me for day 1 release.

Same builds are the tier, nothing changed.

For PvM

S-Tier: Hammerdin, Lite Sorc
A-Tier: Java, Blizz/Orb Sorc, Poison Necro,MF Barb
B-Tier: Most other hybrid sorc builds (not including niche es / enchant stuff, Trapsin, Windy Druid, Fire Druid, Most necro builds where you have tele and can spam corpse explosion, Bowazon, Foh Paladin (Chaos Specifically)

*Bolded builds are the ones that have been buffed this patch.

Fury Werewolf has also been buffed a lot but sadly, it's still single target melee.

A foh hammer hybrid is S tier for p1, mainly cause foh is easier to play than pure hammer stomping

I created a druid last night because its been a few years since I've built one and had an idea for a good name.


Thanks for the input guys, maybe I'll try out a FOH pally then. a shame the new runewords haven't shaken things up that much
