Currently decking out my new PvM bowzon, wondering about the inventory and the skills... The build is kind of a hybrid between physical and cold dmg and works well for now.

Current gear:
Ice matriarchal bow
Fortitude
Nightwings '15ias'
Razortail
Gores
HL + Raven
Rare ring dual leech + res + rep
Crafted gloves 1 Bow/20ias/10cb
Merc:
Insight/Andy/Forti

Skills:
Freezing arrow + synergy maxed
Magic arrow maxed

What to do with other skills points? Crit strike or valkyrie? Or add immolation arrow as well? And what about the skillers, Bow for more skill dmg or PM (then valkyrie i guess)? Open for suggestions!

Your Zon already has three type of dmg, physical, cold and magic. So she can kill everything in theory.

I've just checked Magic Arrow and found:
Converts Physical Damage To Magic Damage

I'd add physical dmg then.

So just like normal Zon, she will appreciate max\ar\xx charms.

exactly, thats what i love about that build. i love that amount of versatility


that's the interesting part. indeed the magic damage is not added but converted (that's why i use fortitude instead of CoH), but the damage for freezing arrow is added by skillpoints. so the question is: which attack pays off more?
anyway, thx for your estimation, i guess i will just test both options once i got a few more levels

I also have an hybrid cold/phy. I think it's the most solid option pvm. Pure cold is too strong against no inmunes, but is weak against inmunes. That's why i like faith over ice bow. About the skillers i went with 50% dmg and 50% skillers.

Looks like a pretty good frostmaiden setup.

I would max strafe and use that for physical damage vs cold immunes. Switch highlord's for atma's scarab.

As a Bowazon, it's hard to kill bosses as she becomes their target. Diablo is the hardest tbh.

But in your video, Baal simply ignores your existence. Is that an SP thing?

Maxed Cold Arrows as well?

The reason I ask this is I don't think it's worth the points, as it only adds length a lil bit. And I found cold dmg charm adds 1 sec length per charm (before 1/4 penalty in Hell), so I'd get some cold dmg SC's instead.

I have to use Guided Arrow vs bosses, because I can't use Strafe as stated above.

So I've checked IAS table:

Standard:0,8,22(10 frames with Atma's),42,75(8 frames with my set up),142
(Strafe:0,2,13,15,37)

10 frames = 2.5 attacks per second
8 frames = 3.12 attacks per second

3.12/2.5 = 1.248

This means 8 frames do 24.8% more dmg than 10frames, right?

And only 5% proc on Atma's, so its chance is 5 out of 100 hits (not attacks), or 1 out of 20. It'll take seconds to proc Amplify even with 8 frames.

Besides, I have to run and shoot occasionally vs Diablo, so I'd feel it wouldn't proc forever.

I wonder if Atma's is good vs normal mobs?

That video is made in bnet, i have there all my chars. Wrath is my bow to kill bosses, decrepify makes crushing blow more effective and they are slowed a lot, making them very safe.

How about vs Diablo? D always targets Zon in my case.

Btw, my ele dmg bowazon is using Harmony, and Wrath too
