i dont know which armor i should use for my merc. right now hes wearing a tal rasha helmet, with non eth tresher insight and a duriels shell. i found a 4 socket eth lacquered armor... i could make stone, but i dont know if its better then duriels shell

You're going to miss the cannot be frozen on duriel's. Stone is good and would have better defense, the 60% fhr is nice, but lacking cbf is a major setback. Save the runes for something else. Laquered plate also have high str req so you cannot use it early if you decide to level a new character.
