I'm fairly casual these days and decided to roll a Throw Barbarian as first char, since I didn't wanna go meta and do sorc.

My reasons for playing Throw barbarian:
- Huge buffs to dual throw/synergies and insane mastery, feels fresh
- Find item/Hork buff to barbs in general (1% per find potion level)
- Dual throwing looks dope as fuck and always been a fantasy to make work
- Cheaper gear than sorc due to non-meta
- Great support char with BO, easy to find teams to play with

Curious to see if anyone else started the same build this ladder and how your experience is? I'm playing hardcore personally.
What gear are you rocking after weekend one, and what gear are you aiming for/consider BiS?
Are you playing selffound? I played selffound up until level 50, and it was quite hard to be fair. In that sense I don't reccomend it as a starter hehe.

It's surprisingly good, relative to what I expected.

Even the low/mid level damage from trash weaps kinda works. It's not a Singer, but it clears.

you CAN shop for merciless or w.e throw weps and spec +dmg (not so safe, can matter on hc) and yes, you can solo selffound. but defo subpar in this regard to many many builds.
with some gear, this shit seem to be solid and viable, tbh.

i got quite busted gear, noeth lacerator, and my dmg already kickin off abit.


How you feel about helm gear choice? would u prefer arreat/guills over this? I quite like it the new RW wisdom

I didn't start a throw barb yet, but look forward for it to be my second char. I do think wisdom is the best choice at least until you get hands on a cham to Socket your arreats/gulli because cbf is kinda hard to get otherwise if you avoid shattering corpses

Do you still use nosferatu with wisdom for 100% pierce?

yeah from efficiency perspective, I should have went sorc 1st barb 2nd. I got a lvl1 sorc in a5 hell now hc, as i just finished baal hell.
I don't use razortail (the pierce belt) no (not yet?). I get 80% pierce with this helm. With razortail, other helm might be good call.


anyway what were blizzard thinking adding the most annoying mod in the game to lacerator +50% flee is making it useless on travincal, thus far. lmao.

thinking of building one.. looking at upgrading these unique n mversion throwing weaps battlebite, they have deadly strike on them and you get refunded throws.

Can this farm anything if you max strength in p8 you think?

Deadly strike does not function well with masteries critical strike.

Simply going for a weapon because it has deadly strike is a poor idea at best.

why do you say that, if you upp them, and they have deadlys strike and combine highlords, get pierce from the belt zons use, and maybe that new runeword helm.

You need to read up on how critical strike and deadly strike interact.

Death bite, the weapon you are referencing is a terrible weapon with such low damage, not only is deadly strikes value reduced due to critical strike, doubling a small number is a small gain. Or, deadly strike, which is double damage, is doubling a number so low, it doesn’t matter.

Your idea is a terrible idea at best.

In Hell at the moment with decent gear. lacerator etc. its a very subpar build. I would say its C tier.

The clear speed terrible. Feels just as bad as trying to clear with Berserk.
