Whatever you do, get an infinity. Its the only piece of equipment which matters for making a great light sorc.

Bear in mind your merc has to get close and hit 1st

Or would you have him lower enemy res, increasing your lightning damage and potentially breaking Li imm with conviction always active? (Infinity)

It's a figure of speech. OP made it obvious he's asking about merc options. I wasn't suggesting that he should equip reapers on the sorc herself.

And to be honest, having a sorc with reapers and a merc with infinity would make more sense than a sorc with regular gear and a merc with reapers anyway.

Reapers for a light sorc's merc? You are begging for a shitstorm arent you?
