it's blurry based on killspeed with less mf items since u'll kill more mobs-more drops so can argue all day about it

Then you factor in such things as:

1) Kill speed
2) Survivability (Especially if HC)
3) Enjoyment (You play more efficient if you enjoy the game)
4) Boss/monster patterns

Looking for rare items with quest drops : 0% mf is the best.
Looking for rare items without quest drops : ~200% mf is the best.
Looking for uniques : the most %mf you can equip without losing kill speed.
