2. FAQ about "How to Tank"In what order is damage calculated? 1. PvP penalty
2. Energy Shield/Bone Armor/Cyclone armor
3. Magic/Physical Damage reduced by #
4. Resistances and/or Physical Damage reduced by %
5. Absorb by %
6. Absorb by #How you can see, If you have 100% Energy Shield (ES), you don't need Resistance, Absorb and Life!!
How the hell do you get that 5%extra Es?95% is reach from Es Skill Lvl 40
That last 5% you get from:
- Magic Damage reduced by # (Mdr)
- Physical Damage reduced by # (Pdr)
How many Mdr and Pdr do you need for 100% es?A lot, the more, the better!
There is a formula to know how many do you need:
Damage Taken = (Damage * 17 / 100* (1 - Es / 100)A little explanation of how the formula works:
Damage Taken = Necro Bone Spear 6000
17/100 It is the PvP Penality, 83% of the damage is not calculated and applied when you duel
(1 - Es / 100) is the Absorb of your Energy Shield, instead of "Es" put the % of your Energy Shield (It's 95)
Then, if we come back to the starting example, the calculations would be:
Damage Taken = 6000 * 0,17 * 0,05 = 51
Then because the Bone spear is Magical damage we need 51 or more Mdr to prevent drain any lifepoint.
Same for Ama Bow for example:
Guided Arrow Dmg: 7200
Damage Taken = 7200 * 0,17 * 0,05 = 61,2
Now we need 51 or more Pdr to prevent drain any lifepoint, because Ama do Physical damage.
Extra there is a little bug... Called Mdr-Pdr overflow.
It work when A melee Attack hit you when use some form of elemental dmg (like Baba, Ama, ecc), because the elemental dmg is usually lower than the physical, the Mdr points cover all Elemental damage and the remain point will turn into pdr.
Effect of 100% es?Vs caster as boner/hammer/traps/druid you just not loose life ever, if mana is up.
Vs open wounds+psn smiters/baba/bower/any melee, you life drop to 1, and it stays at 1, you never die when mana is up.
How the hell do i keep my mana up for tanking over 9000 hits?Regeneration mana!

4. StatsStats is an important section, but really easy to understand.
You want you sorc to have the following stats:
Strength - Enough for Gear
Dexterity - Enough for 75% Mb
Vitality - None
Energy - Everything else
Why all energy, won't I be easy to kill?
Because your ES will be at 95%

(Easy) I use 2# Set-up, and with Mdr overflow u become super Tank soso, easy duel, I recommend buying Mana potions, duel can be very long cause the ama Dodge your Orb and be careful not to let Guide arrows follow you too much, otherwise you may get too much damage on mana it all together at once. When Ama lock you, just easy tele away and recharge full mana.
Javazons:
(Easy) I use 2# Set-up, and it's the same of Bowzons. Be carefull if both ama use Psn Javeling, If they have max these skills you must dodge the Javeling or it shot you, because usually do something like 15+ k dmg.
AssassinsTrappers :
(Hard), I use 1# or 2# depend if is Gz assa with Gz dmg or not. This build is hard for high dmg and super noise stun lock with mindblast, hard because you don't have good frame on FHR and must Swap all time to dodge stun, the duel take long time because it have fade skill and with you low dmg is hard kill it. Play Defensive!!
Whirlwind Assassins:
(Easy/Medium) I use 1# or 2# set-up depend is pure WW or Hyb, If pure WW is more easy then Baba, so sell below the advise for Baba, just cast Orb and wait until it die, may take more time, because have Fade Sk.
NecromancersBone:
(Easy) I use 2# Set-Up, I need swap on Inight and tank him with this to have max reg mana. Nothing to say... Only Push him and kill, it's super easy!!
Poison:
(Easy) I use 2# Set-Up, only thing to do is dodge Nova and spam Orb more Easy than Easy Bone.
BarbariansBvC:
(Easy) I use 2# Set-up, I recommend buying Mana potions duel can be long, with Mdr overflow is very easy not take any dmg on life... Just be carefull on Mana. I recommend spam 1 orb and Tele to dodge the Namelock of baba, some Frw may could be Nice.
Melee Barbarians:
(Easy) I use 2# set-up, usually no have Enigma to Tele, that become him super easy to kill, only spam Orb, it can't hit you.
PaladinsHammerdins:
(Hard) I use 2# set-up to give me a chance to kill him faster..., no way vs this build, you don't have enoght Mdr, just spam Orb and be very carefull at Hammer and Ghost Hammer, cast 1 Orb and Tele Away, not more then 1 or Pala name lock you and in 3 or 4 Hammer kill easy you.
Smiters:
(Medium) I use 2# Set-up but change helm on the Circ 25/21, be carefull at Charge stun, with 100% Es you Abs all dmg but It's a good ammount of mana lost each hit, I recommend buying mana pots and try to play a little defensive, cast Orb and tele away.
Fist of Heavens:
(Easy) I use 1# set-up may be with Df if need more dmg, nothing to say. It made max 9k dmg... not hit your life never, easy to kill, spam Orb and be carefull at mana.
Chargers:
(Medium) I use the same set-up that I use for smite, if need more Pdr try 1# set-up, but is enoght do abs all dmg. Play a little defensive and be carefull to a Charge stun.
SorceressesFire:
(Hard) 20k Fire Ball, mana is not made to tank these. It's the same of Hammer too high dmg... I use 2# Set-up and try dodge all Fireball... if 1 hit is 99% one shot, with 1# set-up it's the same... If you want change boots on hotspur, but I don't know how much it can help you. Play overdefensive!!!
Cold :
(Easy) I use 1# Set-up, no problem with it, only tank and push it. If is Orb like you change eq on 2# set-up, if is Blizzard I recommend 1#.
DruidsWindy:
(Easy) I use 2# set-up, I recommend buying some Mana Pots, It can't dmg you Life, but if you take some Tornado in the face your mana is not so happy and finish fast, I recommend use insight in swap to have super reg. mana, Ah very important, faster you damage him and destroy Cyclone armor faster win!!
Shapeshifting:
(Easy) I use 2# set-up, This is like Baba Melee, no tele = auto lose, just spam Orb and Tele arround him.
