titan mode. 4500K-44K or ~around 25K average damage per hit. Throw in a offensive curse like decrep from reapers might merc and you'll melt the badies single pass.
still has like 70% ds/crit and 50%cb, so its no slouch on bosses either.

titan whirl botd thundermaul or Ghostspear/gpa

with the TM you get a bit more damage on str. You usually single pass kill stuff because the damage is just that high. So it doesnt matter its @6fpa on some of the hitchecks. On anything but titan, ghost or gpa is win. For pvm, titan is unbeatable if your twinking yourself out in high end items.

The normal bvc vita cookie spec for comparison deals about ~8k-12k damage per hit.

Its actually not since your only hitting 8-12K per hit, and while I'll conceed the damage over time, that metric is flawed because except end bosses the "time" is one whirl vs multiple whirls.
I extensively tested that last season. The grief wasnt nearly as fast as the 2h botd was.

GriefX2 vita simply doesnt do the single pass damage a botd 2h titan can deal. I know on paper it looks that way, but we dont play on paper. Monsters have around 15K life, which means on avg titan 1 shots em. THe max damage on grief is about the same as its min and average, so your never getting anywhere near the spike damage either.

25K average 45K max > 20K avg and 22K max.

assuming niether of us miss. A long whirl hits 4fpa on some of the breakpoints with Botd tm, and 6 on the others. So your not hitting twice as often for the full whirl either.

live longer = hc.

2500-3K life is all you need on nice barb. Anything else is excessive. This isnt pvp. You just dont take much damage in pvm, and a good barb can leach and use some of the support skills to keep him perfectly safe.
we're talking 550% damage, its like adding another fort. Or having a fort like damage while using enigma.

Theres a handy little mod on there called Ignore Target's Defense which means DPS and DPWW is much, much higher for 2x Grief

I know the numbers on each, I understand that technically grief should be better (and it normally is), but it just isnt because of the limited amount of life monsters have. The botd reaches a point that you exceed the damage threshold that equates to generally 1 hitting monsters. Given that ww is a moving attack, and we're talking range 2 or 3 between us , those extra hitchecks for the second hand often dont apply due to being out of range. When this happens your 10K is less then half my 25 on a hit to hit basis.

More than 3k life is a waste... Get more str = more damage.

when your ww hits over 8k minimum and you have over 12% leach and massive howl, you regain at least 500hp every 6 frames. you almost never get hit and if you do it's by an elemental (which is easy to absorb)

don't believe me? ask Master_Zappy who has played this on hc.

get good, bob

Its the 550% ed that pushes you past the point of 1 whirlwind KO's. Your looking at around 25K average damage per hit.

The damage is so freaking high, you only need to usually whirlwind once and its dead. Sure avg damage over time is cool and all, but remember that monsters have finite life, and with titan mode on the ThunderMaul of pain, it reaches a point that it instagibs fodder monsters in small and medium sized games. You still have ~70% ds and 50% cb + decrep.

Not to mention 20% DS

gface hat (cuz cb and ds)
Fort (cuz damage) or enigma (cuz tele is nice, but meh, go fort)
2h botd. GPA or ghost spear is technically the best, but mace class weps like Thundermaul provide an extra 50-60%ed, and extra damage to undead.
Gores (cuz double huge damage = rediculous )
Laying of hands - cuz huge res and 350%ed to demons is hawt
highlords - cuz deadly.
tgods - cuz soul food isnt fun.
Throw in a ravenfrost and 2nd ring of choice. (I went with a 9 min , ar stat/res rare)

on switch you'll either want mf/gf (ali's are choice) bo sticks or hoto's if tele@ enigma, or a tele staff.

standard ww barb skill selection, with a few in warcry for a 3 second stun with stuff, final points going to howl for zerk synergy and saftey.

stats = all in str, or close to it. Reqs to equip, enough life/vit for a little buffer aiming for 2500 min-3K.

BUt the 2x Grief will hit more often because of ITD. YOu don't take into account the misses from botd
