IntroductionHey guys, my name is James and and I play smiter on West. This is the first guide I made so be nice. I have been playing & practicing with my smiter for the past 5-6 years all over different realms. I finally found a setup effective and perfect for my play style. Although gear choice varies depending on the player, I can tell you now if you master your pvp skill with this setup, you can become one of the best smiters on the realm. Also, this build is 100% GM Smite tourney based so it will be nice when practicing for tourneys and such. Although this guide is strictly based on smite vs smite, its not so bad when it comes to smite vs all depending on the players skill of course
This build is more based offensive compared to higher life defensive smiters out there.
Why not VT?VT (Smite/Foh) is also great but foh can be stacked/sorbed easily which is why I went with charge as my seconday attack instead of foh.

FAQ1. How do you calculate smite damage?(Shield Base + Holy Shield bonus + Grief bonus) * (1 + Smite %ED bonus + STR %ED bonus + Fanaticism %ED bonus + off-weapon %ED bonus) = Total damage
2. Grief PB or Zerk?→ Grief Phase Blade (PB)
PB requires less IAS to get smite breakpoint/faster
PB has range 2 (better for charging, worse for smite)
PB is indestructible
→ Grief Berzerker Axe (Z)
Z requires more IAS to get smite breakpoint/slower
Z has range 3 (better for smiting, worst for charging)
Z does more damage when charging but hits slower
In conclusion PB > Zerk for my build. Not to mention this build only uses 110 strength so Zerk is not an option
3. Why does this build have lower life compared to VT's?Although this build has lower life than VT's with 5000+ Life, the smite damage is higher after calculation so it balances out. I guess my smiter is more based on offense. VT or any VC with the standard enigma+hoz setup will only get around 9000 smite damage. This smiter does 10000+ Smite damage and one charge with 71% ds will take out more than 2500+ life against smiters with 50% DR. (Feel free to pm me to compare smite/charge damage against enigma+hoz builds anytime)
ConclusionThere is no way to get better at control without practice. Gear does not matter that much for smite vs smite duels compared to skill. So make a game and practice against other smiters! I hope this guide will be somewhat helpful for those who love smiters
