The Purger is a powerhouse on any dueling ground. This character can be incredibly cheap to make. Once a Templar, the Purger dedicates himself to the power that a single Fist of the Heavens can deal, and anything that withstands that cleansing can feel blunt force of all his light gear.Intro:This is a GM walker/teleporter. Blizzard fully supports FOH/Conviction.. I personally allow 40% (or 50%, put on your Lightsabres) sorb and as much +res as you want... if you still cant kill, in the end, anyone that specialized will always get some char or another...
FOH/Conviction is one of the most powerful combinations in the game, and imo Conviciton has one of the coolest game/spell icon GFX...
What isnt utilized nearly as much is the -95% defense of conviction...
Conviction is also ranged based, and after you make a character, you may find you kill everyone in 1-3 hits, but the barbs and paladins with high life and res feel the full force of your
Conviction. Some builds will let you 1-shot the weaker characters far off.

Conviction doesnt not have a great range, or from what I have seen doesnt not visibly show on far targets...
THE PATH OF YOUR Purger1. Griswold's Teaching - Cheapest, good stats, play your Purger tomorrow... Everyone should be well familiar with Griswold’s Students
2. Wraith - Embrace the rage and ethereality of the fallen and desecrated
3. Artisan - High societies of light worshippers create these legendary items. The strongest are rumored to have turn with holy truth sub-rulers of Hell and prevent complete domination of Hell’s forces... still floating around to this day from the High Days of Kurast and even greater and older socities. To complete a set of this is to literally become a Purger.
These 3 can be mixed up as much as you like...
The truths and abilities of a Purger+20 Fist of Heaven - PURGE THE WICKED
+20 Holy shock - Gather the surrounding Holy energy to maximize your righteous call.
+20 Conviction (with maximum gear & to stay upgradable from 100fg
10k+ you need atleast 18, I would simply max because you never know - Your enemies shall suffer
+20 Holy shield I ALWAYS RECCOMEND ZAKARUM BECAUSE OF EVEN DAMAGE FOR SMITER - Approaching a paladin is like approaching a lion. The iron defense of a blessed shield can be directed into the righteous judgement of any foe instantly.
Some different paths you can combine:
+Griswold’s Circle
+Griffonkin
+Ghost of Griswold
+Always remember to put one DIE facet in each of your armors because they stack, but more than one DIE in the same armor has no effect.
+Keep in mind to always get MB *WITH* HS on... Charge gives 0 defense and 1/3 block% Same as running, so ALWAYS keep walk on.Griswold’s Teaching - THIS IS FOR EVERYONE, there is no excuse not to make one.
Complete Griswold’s Legacy, with max 0s (as you can afford). Use 5/5 light for the best results.

2x BK or soj, 1 each of is nice, Mana or life, at 85 i get 46 life from each BK... that is godly for maximum FOH dmg, replace with wisp/raven as u feel necessary.
They dont use ZAK shields which I prefer for even smite damage.
Wraith - The essence and lessons of the heavens and ethereal realms are reflected in your Purger’s combatThis character is defined by Enigma, and always having maxblock capable.
The shining ability of the wraith is to control its self, literally everywhere and nowhere... This is perfect because you can get around quickly and always maintain Max Block.. but most importantly
you can get people in range of your conviction.Getting people in range of your conviction is amazing, and the same 2 shots you do on a barb 9 yards away, will 1-shot most characters standing 14+ yards.
You can make a hybrid simply by using Griswold or other armors I will get to..
Including the “Ghost of Griswold” and Griffonkin
Artisan - True craftmanship and dedication. In all aspects of this path.This character is defined by his Jeweler, fully facet gear. You will also use Griffons Eye and a FOH stick
Such lavishment is only meant for the highest and most respected Templars, literally making them
Purgers.
This is all Jewelers Gear, FoH stick, etc... 5/5’s only with max os....
Get the best stats you can afford...
I recommend ZAKARUM SHIELD for the most consistent smite damage.
The bonus you get from changing Griswold set is 30/25~(I forget which is -res, +dmg). But this is it. The true ascension of a Purger into the Halls of the Legends.
Dueling and Breakpoints:
Always walk for Max Block. Running/Charging gives you 0 defense and 1/3 max block.
Enigma is PERFECT for getting anyone within range of your
DEADLY conviction. Wether you are about to Purge or Smite, Conviction will leave you the victor.
Never substitute for under 5/5 or max os... imperfect gear is considered surplus and no Purger uses flawed equipment.
A Purger can only walk his path and impart his teaching upon the world, peacefully or righteously.
