After 20 years on and off D2, I figure to take up a nice challange:
-SSF, melee barbarian
-full clear all: every first time I enter an area, not a single monster can be skipped. This included magic+physical immunes. Also I cannot save and exit to reroll monster population, f.i. to skip gloams or dolls. Subsequent visits to an area do not have to be full clear.
-always P8, no exceptions
The run so far has been way easier than expected. Howl/grim ward crowd control, seperate enemied and widdle them down.
Currently lvl 90 half way act 5 hell.
Got some nice loot from eldritch and full clear pit runs. Now rocking:
Guilliams
Hustle highland blade
Unbending will pb
Treachery archon
String of ears
Loh
Goblin toes
Rare rings and ammy with stats resits lifeleech and mana leech
2x spirit on switch and an assortment of resist/max dmg/ar/life charms
In the stash many goodies including dracs, sword/axe bases for grief, oath, death and 4os and 3os elite lightweigt armors.
Runes: pretty much everything up to lem, then an ist, gul and zod (my first ever!) love the zod although not very useful at this point.
Act2 might merc is rocking leviathan, hone sundan sheal sheal amn and bulwark.
Things are going slow but steady, confident I’ll beat all regular content especially once I get my hands on pul+mal or Lo+mal.
One big question though: how the hell am I going to beat p8 ubers and colossal ancients??
I dont think whirlwind would cut it, maybe some frenzy loadout?
I think maybe wolfbarb has best chances:
Farming for wolfhowl, grief, stormshield and chains of honor, tgods and raven. And combining that with the dracs and goblin that I already have. Maybe throw in angelics.
Any other ideas? I’d love to hear them
overstack your resists , get life tap
