Yeah. What did you play, i mean what characters? I've played on and off for many many years. Back in 2009 sort of style, when i was unemployed, found work, played d2 on and off from then. It was fun back then, so much stuff happening, also on this site. Not so no more.
I played mostly bowa back the day, and java.The occasional summoner i started doing onwards from 2015. Then tried barb from 2019 sort of style. Barb is actually fun on hardcore. For some strange reason, 80% of the ladder resets i find some kind of high power two-handed unique early on. Like bonesnap, i find that so often. And if you use that, concentrate, and upgrade it, once, and also twice, that damn weapon can smash your way through hell even. Barb is almost safer than any other class, because of the high hit points, high defense, and you control the flow of battle better.
With bowa, necro and all that, i died with them a lot more than barb. I only play hardcore btw. Necro, you get so little hit points if you want to advance to hell before you're decked out. And i ususally try when i have like 800+ hit points and 20% all res. I remember one time ... wow i was pissed ^^ I mean angry. Was just going to hell, act 1, and died to a cold enchanted boss monster.... on the damn very last pixel on the frost nova.. i mean it must not have been much over 800 hit points. Sooo annoying ^^
Well that's how it goes. I've tried quite a few unorthodox builds the last years, just to try something new. Can't remember all now, but daggerzon, one-handed weapon zon with shield (tedious, but different, critical strike makes it workable), two handed polearm/maul zon, poison javazon. This season i tried two handed grim reaper necro! My build! ^^ You use summons for protection, and the idea is to use two handed scythe type weapon to look like the grim reaper and be active at the front. It didn't do so hot, it needs good gear... damage isn't really bad, but low hit points and the requirements, you need to be up in level a bit, and i was demotivated this season.
Next season, i will try to farm high runes and make enigma. Make that a goal. I play old diablo 2 lod, pc, europe, hardcore.
