Hey, so until a new patch comes out, I think this is a good build. Untested really by yours truly but I'm a theory nerd. I wanted to create a build good for PvM and potentially PvP, and wanted it to be attainable, meaning no need for a ridiculous circlet or amulet to be good. Without further ado, I present:

Rising's Warlock Echoing Strike OBSESSION-using mid-wealth build guide


GOALS MET
125% FCR breakpoint
86% FHR breakpoint
Max/stacked resists.
Some mana steal and life steal.


STATS
put ~35 additional points in strength, so total of 50 base strength
rest into vitality
(you can put more in strength instead of vitality if you value damage more though, it's preference)


SKILLS
105 Skill pts to use at lvl 94
note you have:
+14/15(with bc) to all skills using obsession
+13/14(with bc) to all skills using CTA/spirit

For skills, start with:
5 points in chaos (5 in Lethargy Sigil, at level 20 they are 8 yards)
19 points in demon (1 in each except 6 in Demonic Mastery and 5 in Bind Demon)
66 points in eldritch (1 in each except hex:siphon and 20 in Echoing Strike, 20 in Mirror Blades, and then 20 in Blade Warp)
...15 points remaining if get to level 94...
put all remaining points into Blood Oath. (would max it at level 98. if you get to level 99, congrats, put another pt in lethargy sigil or whatever)


GEAR
Obsession eth archon staff
Phoenix monarch
Enigma DS or wyrmhide
Shako with P-Stone unique jewel
Trang gloves
Arach belt
tri-res boots with 30frw/10fhr/fire res/psn res/light-or-cold res
Highlord's amulet
2x rare/crafted ring with between them 20fcr/dual leach/resists/life/mana/+damage/etc (opalvein with ed% is decent too if got the dual leach already)

Warlock Torch and an Anni
1x 12fhr Eldritch skiller
1x 5fhr/mana or resists small charm
fill rest of inventory with more Eldritch skillers ideally with life
also 20 life small charms with damage or resists, probably resists


MERC
act 2 Might aura merc
Insight polearm CA or CV probably / Pride for the concentration aura meaning more damage is also an option
Fort armor / CoH is also an option especially with Pride if go that route
Andy's with fire res/ias jewel probably


NOTES
-Why use Obsession instead of one of the many other good options? Preference really, and I think as things are now, your damage is going to be awesome regardless, plus Obsession has nice amounts of FCR, FHR, resists, and plus skills, among other things.
-20%ias from Highlord's amulet is apparently useless for Echoing Strike as it uses FCR but whatever that's not why we're using it anyway! We're using it for the deadly strike!

-Use CTA/Spirit on switch obviously.
-Buffing: use BC. Switch to Obsession. Buff Hex of your choice (probably Bane but you got 1 point in Purge for fun/groups). Also buff Psychic Ward. Summon & Consume a Goatman. Summon Defilers or whatever & Bind Demon if needed. Switch back to CTA to BC & BO all.
-Now you're ready to kill stuff! Use the Lethargy Sigil which should with BC be level 20 and it will help you kill things faster!
-Can always use Engorge for your summons if they need it.

-Keep your scrolls of TP on your belt instead of a tome in inventory is my advice personally.
-Can use a Renewed Bone Break sunder if you roll some good stats on it instead of one of your Eldritch skillers... but generally you should be able to manage without a sunder because of Amplify Damage from your bound demon, and the Lethargy Sigil should help too I think. Plus you will do a little magic damage as well. It's probably worth using overall but it's whatever for now since a good one will probably be expensive.
-If you want to use Gore Rider boots for more deadly strike, you can, you'll just need to make up for the missing 10%fhr and resists elsewhere (charms). Same goes for Horazon's Legacy Set Mirrored Boots if you want their magic resists.

-Reason for 6 points in Demonic Mastery is to get it to level 20 basically at all times... I believe if it ever dips below 20, one of your 3 summons would disappear and that seems annoying when you want to be giving BO to all your summons, not just 2 of the 3. I'd say you might even want to put 7 points in it if you're bad at remembering to rebuff BC before it runs out, however, you're going to need to Consume another Goatman anyway roughly at the same frequency that you rebuff BC and BO, so you can get all setup again then regardless.
-You're going to want to bind a demon with the Cursed affix so they will proc the Amplify Damage curse. Also you're going to want them to have Fanaticism aura. I suggest putting those few extra points in Bind Demon to get it to level 20, because it makes getting the aura you want easier, and it gives you more flexibility with what demon you want to bind.

I've looked at builds for this using Death, Doom, BoTD, Fortitude, Insight, and other options too as weapons. After considering a lot, this Obsession build is I think what I personally like best. Even with such a weapon, damage should still be huge with using Phoenix. Yea I wish could get more DS going but I didn't want to sacrifice other stuff for more damage when I think damage will already be enough. Not sure though, just trying my best without actually even booting up the game lol

15 points in demon (1 in each but 6 in mastery to get 2 demons total)
66 points in eldritch (1 in each except hex:siphon but 20 in ES/BW/MB)
...7 points remaining if get to level 92...
rest into blood oath!

spirit monarch (30 to 35 fcr depending on belt)
Vmagi (30fcr)

the problem is making builds in a vacuum

it makes no sense

first of all, what are you farming?

unless you're making an uber warlock then survavility is irrelevant. All you need is a big sized bonded demon (fuck hephasto, he's small) with cursed + fanatism/might. You have leech and they need to kill your demon before killing you = you're invencible.

also, at a certain point damage is wasted, why do you care about going over 100k if you already one shotting everything? to save 0,1 seconds in Diablo?

I made this build here as an all-rounder capable of doing everything everywhere including ubers and PvP. And your point is you don't need survivability and you don't need so much damage, but then what do you need? I made my build to get survivability, damage, and everything else you could want like 125fcr... honestly what else is there

why the fuck do i want to use fortitude when i can just leech for QoL for the exact same clear speed?

the clear speed looks the same to you cause you're p1 den of evil farming bro
