How good is giant skull actually (or even coa 2 soc) for PvM? Talking mostly about melee chars, and I play barb

For eg. ww barb; considering you can slap 2x high ed jewels to it, compared to guillaumes and arreat? Especially when you are not necessarily going for max vita anyways (PvM)

Not wearing any helm is better than gskull on a pvm melee barb.
It has KB
You’d just be constantly pushing mobs out of range
So even if you can get some ~2% bonus total dmg with 80ed, you end up loosing more than half your dmg

Anyway even without the KB problem, 80ed + 10cb is very far in terms of dps compared to guillaume’s 55ed (15str + 40ed) + 35cb + 15ds

And coa is also a very bad option.
If you want to go full titan (all in str) the best helm option for pvm is vamp gaze. This will allow you to reach more dmg and survivability than coa, for cheaper.

Depends on build... a G/Skull can be used by a Bowazon or a Berserker / Frenzy barb or a Javazon ... it is dependent on YOUR play style with the character you selected and how you build it.

I prefer Arreats helm for my barb and other builds and compensate for the fire res in other ways... #1 Helm for my Demonbasher... but hey, that is based on my preference... you have to choose yours.
