I’m curious if anyone knows if I’d do more damage with a light estucha or hoto over using a +5 or 6 to skill plus +5-6 mastery 2os or 1os


Just wondering if it’s worth it to use a rare orb/magic over a estucha or hoto

You need to work it out:

+ All Skills ensures that every skill you have selected has increased, however "synergy" skills don't add to "original" skills.

Specific skills are just what is stated: "Specific" adds.

So choose your poison.

Hoto is +3 skill
How do you think it fares against +6 skill? And add 1 or 2 facets on top of that lol

So that’s a strange question you got there…
But then, you also mentioned eschuta, which means you are talking about a pvm fire or light sorc.

Let me tell you that in both cases, you are really far from going in the right direction…

Nova?
Self-wield infinity

Lightning?
Cmoon + spirit

Fire?
30/-30 weapon + phoenix

Eschuta sucks really hard.
The little +% bonus on this item is not multiplying your total dmg by that amount… far from it, it’s only added to your light or fire mastery.
All that matters is getting a ton of -res from your gear, and reaching 105fcr (or 117 if lightning)

I’ve built a few versions of Nova sorc. Self weild infinity is most damage, but rare orb and making all your gear add up to breakpoints is more fun for me. I use magic orb caster belt mana boots. Looks better too than infinity unless you get eth trident.

The reason why it does not help very much is due to the fact it gets added together with fire/light mastery.

So, instead of having forexample: +550% to light damage, you get +570% to light damage. The change is small. 4,5% to be excact in this scenario, actually its smaller because i think fire/light mastery adds together with synergies.

So lets say you had +500% from synergies, and +550% from light mastery.
Then with a 20% eshuta that would be:
1070%.
And the difference between 1050% and 1070% is: 100-(1050/1070*100) = 1,89%
So ur base lightning damage(without synergies and without mastery) would gain a 1,89% boost from the 20% eshuta.
