I don't have much gear yet, I want to gear a few characters like a sorc, FoH pala, JavaZon, uber Pala, ...

What's the best strategy if I only wanna find my own gear?
Don't want to trade for it either, purely SSF.

What locations work best? I'm thinking Andy & Mephi on Hell once you can do them comfortably, so probably a Blizzard sorc?
I play on HC, so need to be able to farm the locations safely on budget gear.

Any lvl 85 area with high monster density where you have good killing speed ( i.e no immunites to your damage source ), but i recommend to not farm WSK LvL 2-3 and Throne because there can be some really deadly and fast Unique / Elite monsters. Aftet area(s) you prefer are cleared you can do Andy + Meph.

You start with fo+hydra sorc(optional to put points in telekenesis and get es staff on swap) Run until nightmare, do few baal/cows, then farm NM Andy to gear up a bit, then NM meph, then few nm baal/cows, and go gear up on hell Andy. If you want runes you just go Countess, but should have merc able to kill her, or switch to lightning. Hydra/FO sorc with es(you skip cold bolt synergy for it, invest few points in cold mastery, rest in hydra+fire mastery, and when you done - invest in telekenesis). This is best and safest ssf build ever (freeze from fo, hydras cast off screen, only thing that can really kill you - unlucky teleport/server/internet issues. Super budget, you can go almost naked. Sometimes there will be fire+cold immunes, Seis for example, but not very often.
So this is completely starter build and you don't need any gear for it, it has OK damage for p1, but p8 will be very bad. When you gear up and get cold sunder you can switch to blizzard+telekenesis hybdrid es sorc, with no godly gear you will lose about 2k blizzard damage but have incredibly survivability:)

Sorc until you get an enigma
