Just wanting to check in on something maybe I'm misremembering or confused about, but I always remembered the way a GRush worked was that the bumper just needed to get Baal done while the leechers were in A5. Ancients were not required to be done by the bumper (and in fact if you are a leecher when the bumper gets their ancients if in the case of a normal-only bumper, your quests cannot be completed for ancients).

So what could cause somebody leeching to not get Baal quest?

No, the bumper needs to have ancients done so he can get to baal to get the quest...

All others will get it with him in town.. same works for almost all quests btw

So the answer is yes, not no.
He does not need to save his ancient quest to do it in this game.
He can do it whenever and then farm baal to 40, as long as he doesn’t kill baal for quest.
