hey guys, im trying to build a barb to run trav with the main goal being gold find and secondary goal being runes.

im following the maxroll build and seem to be having trouble staying alive.

barb is just not a class i know a ton about so if anyone would be willing to help me get this barb up and running that would be awesome!

You use merc? You gotta be careful. But use kira's guardian angel and ebotd war pike. And gavel of pain on switch (my idea originally). Cast amp dmg on them. He will take'em n leech big-eo.

But you may have to heard them a bit. To begin with. In order to learn the game. You gotta work it. What exactly do you struggle with? You can't just rush in, they'll dead you. The more careful you are, the easier you'll get it. And you'll get better in time. It takes time ... like anything good in life. The devil wants us to take shortcuts, so he can stick it to use later. But you don't do it like he wants it ................ you do it like YOU wants it ............ you can do it. But let us know the issue. We can help you. I've done gf barb in hell in hardcore with sub-par gear. Every run taking minutes, just to get going, get a bit stronger every run, gambling, getting gear, evolving, substantiating, then after 50-100 runs, now it gets much faster, i get confident. And so will you. You'll know what to look for and when you can be offensive and must be defensive.... like bruce lee philsophy, crazy how everything comes down to that ... be like water, when the enemy contracts, you expand, and otherwise. Be formless, shapeless, when you enter travincal, you become travincal. Be water, my friend. That goes for astrology too. I am convinced he knew about astrology and took philosophy from it.

Any update here? Iteresting to hear if there was improvement on the deading sitationt.

you nailed it on the head with the play more. i just kept messing with it and i rarely ever die, merc dies once every 20ish runs maybe.

That makes me heappy. That sounds like the same level as i play at on hardcore when i get going. It takes a little bit of doing, but again, when you're raelly gettin in to it, you learn to play efficiently as possible without wasting time, know what to look for, to read the game, like a f-zero dirver, can use the fire stingary n lose as little speed as possible, even on the swingiest tracks, it's amazing when you reac htat level, the others never even show up in the behind text .... that's cool stuff.

And the last and final enigma of the hoarching bid'ness is when you start egtting great gear, now you get super high EG%, yet kill them with superb efficency, and it seems to me weirdly enough ,that those runs where you just crash through them with the merc n everything goes flawless, that's when you find the most gold n stuff. It's crazy, but that's how i find it. But prolly just an illuesion......... just like that song, "imagination - illusion" ^^
