i'm looking to start a classic character, mostly to try and farm some lower level rares for my lld characters. i've always been told sorc is the best, or barb, but for someone starting with 0, what would be the best method to leveling up and gearing up on my own?

Sorc ofc, irathas set with spectral shard is the play.

love both of these replies, i do have a second account that could sit alongside the sorc, plus probably hold some items since im sure i wont be ready for the small stash space haha

Use the second to bo barb, it'll save you so much grief

If you want low lvl rares specifically maybe stack 400mf on a holy fire pally and walk around norm cow lvl

2x 40 rings - 80
milabrega shield - 20
tancred amy + armor - 78

total : 445% mf on a paly

HF kills all regular mobs in 1 pulse in norm, so yeah it's probably the best mf build for all sets, uniques and lld gear.

Or you could get an extra 80% on a barb with a 2nd gul, for a total of 525% to elite snipe with find item (using the aoe dmg form leap attack to kill and to travel)

And get a barb with dual gul dagger and hork corpses for more chances drop lol
