Haven;t played in quite a while..what's the most viable p1 sorc build on hardcore right now? Which element, what kind of gear? ES, no ES? Maxblock or no?

Blizz if self found/not spending major fg on outside items

Nova if u buy infinity, griffons etc

Nova for sure is e.s., blizz u can maybe 1 point it to avoid one shots as mana burn is fixed in d2r to take the right amount instead of all your mana

actually worth taking 1 point in ES as blizz? Also should I go max block or 50% block? I don't have torch/anni yet

Don't go block it's useless. Use Spirit Monarch. If you are rocking P1 just go Frozen Orb + ES, you don't really need Blizzard damage. You can put 1 ES 20 TK and have some points Vit and Energy - "Hybrid". Having just a little more life than Mana is recommended if you want to farm Nihlathak. Probably better to skip Nihla for now and do that with Nova later.
You can go full ES instead but will miss a few points into CM - that's fine.
If you have it use full Tal set.

In the long run you probably want Infinity in a low req weapon such as a Scythe. You would go Nova then.

Go blizzard with max block, hit your 105fcr breakpoint, I'd change boots for hotspurs, ravenfrost not needed switch to bk ring probably. Change Amulet if and when you can

That is just bad. Don't go MB. Don't go Blizz if you are doing P1 because you want ES for sure. Can't really die if you use that.
