Hi guys, I have a Java PVM and I would like to improve my gear. I'll share what I have equipped so you can give me some ideas on what I could start upgrading at this point.

I currently have -11FR, 7LR, 42CR, 25 Poison Res.

I'm not looking for MF gear, I prefer to go with little to find more bases.

80% IAS, 60% FHR, 68% FCR, 108% FRW, 9% LL, 8% ML.

I'd change belt to razortail, having 100% pierce would mean more overall damage.

Why are you trying to sabotage the poor guy?

I honestly believe Thundergod's Vigor is a better option for the following reason. Without Razortail giving 1 point to Pierce, I have +12 to this skill, which gives me a 75% chance to pierce.

Thundergod's also gives +3 to Lightning Fury and +3 to Lightning Strike (synergy), along with strength (saving points for the Spirit Monarch that you can dedicate to life), vitality, lightning resist, and lightning absorb.

Therefore, the damage is significantly higher with Thundergod's, and you only have a 15% chance that your attack won't pierce, but with good IAS, it won't be a problem. With two javelins thrown, if the first one fails, the second one will almost certainly pierce

Well, I accept opinions, but honestly, I used to use Phoenix with 15ed before I had good mana sustain. Now that I have mana leech on gloves and ring, I much prefer Spirit for the FCR for teleport, the +2 skills, resistances, and added mana.

I also prefer Cat's Eye over Highlord's because, although I lose +1 to skills, the +25 dex and 30% faster run/walk are really useful for getting to waypoints quickly.

As for the boots, even though mine aren't tri-resist, I think it's hard to find tri-resist boots with high resistances. Mine give me 40 cold resist and 37 lightning resist (which I really need to compensate for the Sunder charm and to withstand the lightning souls in Act 5 when doing Baalruns). It’s true that I'm missing the 10 FHR.

Regarding the ring, what would you advise for making a good crafted melee one? The one I have now I really like (10 FCR, 5 mana leech, 1 mana per kill...), though it’s true that if it had dual leech it would be almost too perfect and also very expensive

Synergies don’t increase dmg if it comes from items. The Pierce is calculated each time it passes through and enemy and releases bolts each time it pierces so the more enemies that are lined up, the more powerful it becomes. In terms of dmg razor is the best belt and it has nothing that comes remotely close to it.

For the rest swap boots for silkweaves, cats eye for highlords and facet for 15ias/3maek or resist jewel. Razor will make up the dmg lost from facet, you’ll hit a fast attack speed bp, and you’ll have much better mana sustain

Edit your ring is fine and a good choice. A melee ring would be dumb

razortail is best belt for lightning fury, like void said it procs every time it pierces so 25% of the time not piercing is a massive dps loss (and skills from items dont give synergy bonus). using this belt will be your biggest speed increase.

i would fix your res with some @res charms especially if you arent just doing cows. this makes tgods less noticeable. i use silkweave and ias/maek jewel. phoenix nice for topping off health and mana
