how effective would an old school orb sorc be modernized? anyone try to bring this back?

points to energy shield, telekinesis, cold and light mastery.

i think gear was like occy sojs stormshield shako frostburns water walks mara valor

now:
1. id go 1 into es and put points into telekinesis. how many points should you put into it?
2. go with enigma now would be more points to mana or life if you want to stick with the ss?
3. ????

would this be to skill hungry to work?

Do you plan to use 'sunder' charm at all?
If so, then you wouldn't really need thunderstorm or lightning mastery.
Also, this is just fun PvM while doing runs fast or magic finding?

it used to be the very common sorc build, for pvp and pvm. it would be a nostalgia build. idk if I'm going to make one. I was curious to see what people thought about it. i think it would be ok. i don't know how it would be optimized though. the ts was a big part of the build so I would probably use light and cold sunder. does that even work?

I don't really see the point of thunderstorm anymore once you have the cold sunder.
If you want a challenge, perhaps look into classic without runewords / charms / mercenaries.



Yeah, the build looks somewhat standard for uniques.
Any build should do fine, it's just that other builds are more efficient with newer versions.
I'm sure there is a difference in value as well.

Although I wouldn't recommend having multiple sunders equipped.
That would be a hard hit to your resistance.

thunderstorm use to be devastating in pvp that would be my only justification for it other than curiosity. but i doubt i try it. the more i think about it the less it makes sense. maybe if i make a classic char.

Thunderstorm would be a poor choice when you could use a frozen orb/nova build. If purely for nostalgia you're going to find the fun factor would diminish quickly because TS would do extremely little damage.

ok ts use to hit hard b4 synergies. i don't remember how it was after 1.10. if its damage is no good now that would be why nobody uses it.
