As far as I can see, phoenix is a real common shield when it comes to smiters/vts. Have those shields overcome jstod, jsrod, jsvod and rest d2 legacy's old magic shields?

The firestorm proc from phoenix no longer interrupts your attacks/spells so phoenix became the hardest hitting option with its potential 465ed (knight's base).

I guess Spirit ST still is a solid option when you need fcr on a smite vs all build.

Idk if exile is BM in legit duels, if not it's also a good option vs druide/barb I guess.

No, they are not the best, never have been, they are the current cookie cutter shields almost like marvels guide always has been.

There is an average smite damage and life break points. I don’t think I’ve ever got out smited by a Phoenix unless they have life tap and bone prison from marrow walks. I’ve been litteraly beating them up with a highlords on and not landing charge lol.

You cannot and will never out smite a jewelers vortex of deflecting when used properly. I test it vrs 5400 life sr build and a 5600 life st build. It’s around 300-600 dmg above all of them. I beat a 58-0 walk smiter with it.
