Hi everyone,

Wondering what the best base for a rare weapon would be. I have an EDC, Eth Rep Cruel BA with 40 IAS. Trying to find an Eth Rep fools with good IAS but struggling to find one in a BA. Does the rare base weapon making a huge difference?

Also, in terms of gear vs different classes is there a rough guide? I'm finding vs barbs if I use my Eth Fools (No Rep and 30 ias BA) I need extra IAS and the deadly strike from highlords.

Edit** Also, other than Angelics or Ravens, is there any other rings/amulets you can wear that are BIS?

The base weapon makes a difference in terms of damage and, to some extent, range. You then adjust your build according to your ias requirements. In LoD, the best base was Legendary Mallet, a slow but hard hitting base that required ias jewels in armor/helm.

Generally if you don't have both fool's on your weapon and visionary's on your helm, you will need to use angelic rings/amulet vs other zealots & conc barbs. If you have both of them, you can then run Highlord's + Raven (unless you have a Cham somewhere) + stats ring (ar/str/dex/life).

Battle hammer zeal fools vs conc/zeal cruel vs fury/jab = all dead melee

Use hl + melee stat ring + raven

Just look up the ias need for max bp
