How much do i need on conviction, -5% jewels etc?
Do i use sunder? How much -res to enemy do i need with conviction and -% from griffons, fohstick etc.

For pvm your lightning damage is not important, most of your damage comes from the holy bolts it releases. I wouldn't focus on lightning damage at all. Convictions -res caps out at -150.
As for pvp there are others on this forum that would have more knowledge about it than I do.

The -res will add to the -res from conviction. When you break immunities with sunder charms conviction has diminishing returns, I believe it only works at 1/5 effectiveness. Any -res from equipment sich as griffons will work at its full value. Keep in mind that the lowest a monsters res can go is -100

What .. does that mean that fohdins are only meant to run areas with undead? I tried making one last season and found it very underwhelming. The lightning damage is very disappointing, and the bolts don't always hit their targets, although they do deal some damage, seemed to need very good gear to be somewhat viable.

Someone answered this recently. He said that there is only so much -res you can get. Get it all

-150 conviction
-25 griff
-25 foh stick
I prolly should not have taken a crack at this because idk what shield they use

Use a sunder pvm. Don’t use sunder pvp.

ty ty i mean if conviction is only 1/5 if u use sunder, then u should use conviction instead fully?
if 1/5 of 150 = 30 and sunder is like -100 for breaking immunies, 150 from conviction seems better, hm?

The holy bolts damage undead and demons, it will not damage beasts or regular minions. It is very effective in areas like chaos but it is useless in cows because the bolts will not damage them.
Most foh build will just max foh and holy bolt then spec into a secondary damage source such as smite or hammers.
In pvm it is not worth it to try and boost the lightning damage.
