That's actually true, i remember trying it once... it is slow to swing, but there is a strange mechanism. When you hit a monster, the next swing comes out faster than if the first swing misses. Same goes for ribcracker and probably every other weapon too. Strange mechanism that does not show in the ias tables. Sticking 2 or 3 shaels in it gives a big speed boost though.

dunno if it's just for animations or really attacking?
