What the values of % bonus AR?
For example, would 5%Bonus AR on a ring be a worthwhile mod?

This would be in the context of late game 96TZ or duels.

Thoughts?

Worthless unless with gz combination, raven 250ar with 20 dex is way more ar then that 5%.

For my education, help me with this scenario?

In 25 years time i never saw a ring with that stats 😅
And even with that stats raven might give more ar + bonus adds like not frozen + slow + absorb.

If ar is really important for ur build use angelic combo.

Raven>5% ar.

Simply buy a cheap 5% ar ring and test it out.

It adds about 1407 AR to my fury.

This suggests it could be top mod on melee ring. Why not more popular?

5% is fairly low. characters that use AR get a lot of %AR from skills alone, which only stacks additively with %AR from gear. so if you already have +400 %AR from skills, the relative increase is only 5/500=1%

%AR is a suffix and rare items can have at most 3 of them. the suffix slots are highly competitive, since fcr/str/dex/life are also possible. and in all cases, a combination of 3 out of these 4 beats any combination that involves %AR. especially if we add integer AR as a prefix, which is heavily scaled by the %AR bonus from skills

to give you an idea. a bvb with angelics and 30/60/9/9 in helm/storm/armor with full 3/2/2 only get around 230 ar add from 5%
