Is it generally viable to find a rack in single player for specific runeword bases? Meaning it drops the same item every time because you teleport from a certain angle.

There's been significant testing behind this. There's a video floating around with someone testing this om the Lower Kurast chests. If he went to a specific waypoint in act 3, before taking the waypoint to LK then walked a very specific path he could get a Ber rune to drop every single time out of the same chest.

But if he spawned into a different zone first it would drop different items.
If he had x number of items in his inventory and stash, the stats on a small charm would be y, but it he had x² number of items in his inventory and stash then the stats would be y².

Is it better to play offline or online if u solo grind?

I prefer offline for solo grind since you can adjust the difficulty using /players x. It also increases the amount of drops you receive.
