Im currently playing SP p8 dagger necro and have ofc teory crafted a guide for optimal endgame gear xD
Strenghts:
Thorn's aura + Amp > All melee monsters
High CB and decent direct physical damage, and ow is handy as well.
- Enemy Defense %.
AR is hard to come by, but we will manage to hit easy with this build.
Actually quite decent physical damage
Self applying synternegiesed bone armor.
Merc stands for:
Inner sight
Fana
Thorns aura
Merc gear: Bramble, Faith, LL helm of choice.
This merc is elusive, so stays alive pretty well
Ur gear:
Fleshripper 'BER' (8xx-2,4k damage) or Eth Fleshripper 'Zod' (1k more damage, but 20% less CB) + Shield: Phoenix (other shields can be used for fun, if the constant body removal gets annoying)

Ring 1: Raven
Ring 2: Wisp
Boots: Gore riders
Gloves: Loh

20 psn dagger
1 corpse explotion

1 amp (u can choose decpreficity as well, incase u want to slow down archers and casters, all other we want to attack ur summons as fast as possible)
1 to all summons. You may want to buff further on summon resist/golem mastery/skeleton mastery
Remaining points can be used to either increase amp range, or to syntenergi psn dagger with psn nova.
You may also precast fade on both you and merc prior to ubers.

85fr, 28fire absorb
75lr, 20% light absorb + oak of choice
75cr, 20% cold absorb

Self heal of mana and life via Phoenix for you and summons

800-2,4k physical damage, but with 100% deadly strike if lvl 99. So always doubled. Max breakpoint ofc. 10FPA.

Tactic:
Amp
Let all melee monsters litterally sucide on thorns/amp/summon combi. Keep golem up. Repostioning with teleport.
Bone prison/wall if needed.
Dagger down enemies. Mainly pick out the casters/archers urself.
Use fire golem in heavy fire areas, such as forexample act4.
Use naj's staff to summon zoo, in combi with thorns/amp/golem to kill.
You may use quick corpse explotion prior to bodies getting cleansed by phoenix.
Early gear for leveling up / singleplayer / walktrue:
Early: Gulldagger for mf, throwdagger for safe play prior to resists and survivability is top notch.
Mid: A Deathbit is nice and safe wep early.
Edge gives thorns aura and is availeble from lvl 25 merc.
Death sash + belt, or Sigons gloves + 1 more part.
Nothing else matter early game. Start with 1 to all summons, maby a few amplify damage, and a good necro shield to make rhyme in(level 29 or 30)
Guillaume can be used already at lvl 34, but any good helm is usuable, im in act 4 p8 SP and use a double topaz helm currently...
It's actually easier than you would think to singleplayer this.
A 25-50 psn damage nec shield can be used already at lvl 6 if no staffmods.
Death Gloves and Sash is already level 6.
Then a random decent throwing knife, ideally with ML.
