First time posting over here, but I had a question about horking and trav. In theory, I could throw a +% to demons jewel in my hat and just stack that with my melee damage correct? or does this effect only work in weapons? I saw something on reddit about putting a 40/15 in a helm to help with damage, wondered if this could be just as applicable.

You can do that, as long as you are ffighting a demon the ED will be added with the rest of your off-weapon ED, it does not need (or become better) to be on a weapon.

40/15IAS jewels tho, are a bit better on weapons than in other parts, since it adds regular ED and if you put it on a weapon it will be added to the weapon ED instead of being added to the off-weapon ED, so you are very likely to get more damage if you put them on a weapon.
