Wondering if anyone has some constructive feedback on my pvp wind druid. I'll list a few setups and intended matchups for them. Keep in mind I've only been doing pvp since this December and generally not rolling in fg. I prefer to keep the setups GM focused, even in pubs. Thanks in advance.


Currently lvl 95 with normal skill distribution. Generally having around 7000hp and try and and 63fhr. I prioritize the 163fcr bp as much as possible. Inventory full of skiller lifers, mostly 40's with some mid 30's. res, life, mana sc's. 19/20 torch, 20/17 anni. cta and spirit on swap.


Most common setup, maybe closest thing I have to a v all. Gets most use vs pallys, barbs and other dru's. For trappers I might switch the soj out for a wisp and throw some 30frw/10fhr light res boots on:


berber 2/20 with poison res tiara (should this be chamLo? perhaps I keep this one as is and track down another 2os circlet)
2/19 dru ammy with cold and fire res
40 hoto
35 spirit
mages
arach
soj and 10fcr/20str/32life/res ring
crafted boots with 30frw/10fhr/life/life rep


"Block" setup. Really only feel like I need this v bowas. dont think I want to shoot for max block and the league im in only allows 50mb vs barb. I use the first setup against them anyway. Have seen mixed feelings on block with druid due to slow breakpoints, but feels like its making a difference for the better. 47% block, 51 dr. 99fcr bp and 63fhr

raven and same fcr ring
same ammy ( could track down an ammy and rings with dex )


Have a pelt setup that has a bit more life than my circlet setups. Really only use it against necro or cold sorc. 163/63


5 nado with pruby and 10fhr

same fcr ring and another fcr ring with life
arach
mages
spirit
whatever boots fit. whatever specific res I need plus 30frw/10fhr. Likely using alders though.
branch with light res jewel in it or wiz with -15req/15 all jewel

eth treks ( seems like some people dont think these boots have much use anymore?)
infernostrides
trangs
2x fhr skillers. really only ever use 1, if im using boots without fhr like aldurs
other fcr rings with res's and other useful stats. life, etc.

Pretty solid setups and similar to what I use. For the hysicak dmg characters idcrecomend swapping arch for dungo and then soj for fcr and hoto for branch to maintain fcr.

In your second circ throw a Lo+ Cham or even Lo+sol (mitigate some mind blast dmg) and use that vs trappers along with a wisp ring.

Wouldn’t recommend even having a max block build. Only semi useful vs zons but it slows your approach which is the most important part of that matchup. Vs barbs always go 163 fcr with wolves. Mb won’t be fast enough vs an aggressive barb.

You have done well vs. my characters on Switch!

Last night when welled once, if you had been just a hair more aggressive and tried to telestomp my bowazon, you would have had me.

Unrelated, I think Inused strafe against your Druid once, and if that’s Bm, let me know and I’ll make sure not to use again. I typically don’t ever use strafe in duels, just stick to guided arrow, but have accidentally relied on it before.

That “Ken” assassain guy is a tough battle.

Yeah thanks for the duels! Bowas tough and I wasn't geared well for you too. That ken guys trapper is probably the most deadly I've come across, but then again the first few rounds he wouldnt let me kill his infinity merc beforehand, was stash buffing, and sitting 5 stack most of the time. eh oh well its pubs.Also, strafe isn't bm I dont think, my league only allows one point in it though because its so strong now. Thats a lot to ask for someone in casual pubs though, since they might be Pvm'ing and lvl'ing with that char too.

Thanks for the input, I've messed around with the dungos swap like you've mentioned but I feel like the skill drop is pretty punishing. I should try it more. I really dont have problems with physical matchups other than bowa, blades, or gz hybrid sins.

yea there's nothing to really do vs hybrid sins or a life leech using bowa. and well played hybrid counters you at long and close range and a bowa with leech and decent movement requires 3-4+ perfect approaches in a row otherwise they heal off your pets.

Yeah you bring up a good point favoring fcr over dr with the dungo setup. Going to give that another shot. Perhaps the drop in skills is more favorable than being slower. Thanks again for the input!
