Questions:

Grief BA will be situational with PB generally better?

Phoenix is generally best now that the animation is fixed? Spirit to hit 75 FCR.

JSToD with facets for FoH worth it or just stick with an easy spirit?

Any gear missing from the core build other than situational gear swap?

You can have a foh stick/foh cta + jstod 20/-20 at swap sometimes.
But 3hs cta + spirit is very Nice.

On d2lod i used 2foh/3hs cta + 20/-20 st 45@ on swap, then used my mainhand sop just while boing if tryhard.

But foh is now much better, and phoenix is now much better as well.

So either:
Coa BerCham+ spirit(75fcr setup) / pheonix 48fcr setup + wisp + 10fcr ring
Or
20fcr/berbercham or griiffon+ 10fcr ring + wisp + pheonix
Other gear:
Dungo
Enigma
Waterwalks
Trang ouls
2/20/adds ammu

Never take off wisp/nature peace unless dueling 1v1 ele dru or firesorc or blizz.


You can also have a BerBer coa if u want that 50% slow 30fcr dr setup

Thanks! So holy shield stick to pre buff rather than a Foh stick.

Any other shields worthwhile? ST with ED/AR? HoZ or exile?

i dont think holy shield can spawn anymore on scepters in d2r, only legacy

I use circlet mainly these days. 2/30/20/dex/@ cham'd works good for fpk and vs casters. I have one with life and one with str when I don't need dex. Theyre all cham'd so I never need a raven. Only shields I use are spirit st and a knights mod spirit st. Phoenix is for pub smiter.

This is strong vs all setup I use sometimes when there's no amp or if enemy barb is gg and I need more defense

I dont think any other shield is relevant when u have pheonix and spirit.

Pheonix will crush any other shield in damage performance, and spirit allows flexible fast builds.

In d2lod we had SOP + Bug belt + Coa 75fcr builds and was very happy with those.
Some used ST 65/121/60life with 4 x 30ed/30lr/9str/7fhr (other realms without bug belt had a ber in it). Those were indead stronger than SOP, but made you slow. So only really relevant vs other smiters/vts.

When it comes to exile, well it has its usages, but most barb will put on angelics anyway. And then ur left with if ur duelling assa+ele dru combination, where u can leech easy off zoo and SM, but that is most effective on fun chars like tele zeals etc which will leach better.

Well, ur missing out on 253% ed...

Well ST can max give you 120+36+56
465 - 212 = 253


400 + ((22+70)/2) + ((41+44)/2) = 488 base damage.
488 * 5,65 = 2760
488 * 3,12 = 1522

Pheonix ST = 50 life
Magic ST = 60 life

If u want to use shako instead of coa, ur damage will be further nerfed by using BER runes in ur ST.
Only advantage i can see is that u can ChamBer ur coa with a magic ST and using a Ber in shield instead.
That will also give you more life/stats via a fcr ring instead of an raven.
Shako builds will ofc also have an fhr issue which can only be fixed by loosing life's elsewhere, unless ur putting fhr jewels in magic shield. (30ed/7fhr/9str or dex/30lr)

So lets compare two builds for SVS:
