On a PvP necro the preferred helm is a 2/20/30/2 socket circlet with adds. As it is easy for a necro to reach the 125 FCR BP, is this helm that superior to shako for general use, which provides +2 to all skills, 1 socket, a massive boost to life and mana, and more DR against physical opponents? Or is the FRW that important?

Also, if you decouple your FCR from your helm it opens options such as Kira’s against blizz and CoA against smite.

I go with shako

The frw is really only used in certain matchups - primarily wind druids but even then it’s only useful if you actually use it but south walking and upspearing to counter Druid stomps.

Shako is fine but there’s always a better option for any given matchup

Would ber cham CoA not be an option vs wind druid? Lose 1 nec skill and FRW but gain life, mana and 15% DR. Add Dungos and you almost cap your physical res.

STR for CoA can be reached with no hard points with just enigma, treks and 30 STR amulet.

Coa is the budget option

But 2/30/20/2 with 2x ber + dungo + enigma for 39 DR is the optimal way. More frw and less Str req.
