So my understanding is -% elemental resist(lets say from facets) are applied upon scoring an actual hit on the target. If the block/defense check etc nothing happens. And that means you can swap to a different set up which lowers resists of the target right before the projectile hits. I'm assuming this is all correct - can someone confirm?

Main question - Does this apply to the increased damage from facets as well? Or is that damage only determined when the attack is cast?(I think its this, but would like confirmation either way)

1. not 100%, but afaik yes. resists are calculated when you get hit
2. dmg is calculated when the missile is created. for most spells this means that the skill damage has to come from main gear, but some spells and attack skills have a delay on missile creation (like exploding arrow) and then you can increase dmg by swapping. more information here

Thx, i actually read the exact entry before making this
Wasn't sure if it holds up for LOD due to any of the recent changes

well since there are a lot of assassin and druid mechanics discussed, it surely holds for LoD. only thing missing are the changes in D2R, but those are mainly on the surface and not in the underlying mechanics
