Hi, 20 years ago I seem to remember all sorces (including mines) would be using energy shields ; now in each MF lightning sorc guide I read, I only see full life , no mana8 and no energy shield.

Do you guys know what the rationale behind that is?

costs 40 skill points to run es. a lightning sorc can't spare that without taking a huge damage hike

and honestly you probably don't need the survivability it provides, you'll kill everything first anyway

No. As telekensis hard points is what makes ES shine.

Telekinesis makes it absorb correctly like hp.

Playing a self-wielding Infinity, Nova sorc has made it hard to play any other type of Sorc. Between the fast cast rate/low cool down time and survivability, playing Blizzard and Fire Ball isn’t as fun as either cast rate or survivability becomes more of an issue.

I like the speed and damage of my fire sorc, but can’t take many hits. I like the damage of my blizz sorc, but don’t like the cooldown time. Neither has the speed and life/mana regeneration of my nova sorc. Dear diary, but in all seriousness, hope this sheds some light.
