Yo, didnt play PvP for 15 years, so i wanted to recheck my build here

Amu 2/15 adds

Viper
Whistans
Frostburn

Arach
Mana boots

So here some questions:

Since i have amu/circ already and hit way too much fcr, i think i have other options on some slots. Is ormus/coh/eni a better option, or do i need the res from the Viper?

If Enigma is used, does it make sense to equip storm?

What options are there for the helm slot besides shako?

How much res should i aim for?
Which fhr cap is viable?

Thoughts overall? Is this build a viable budget PvP char?

Unless your 2/20 circ has some amazing extra mods your best move is to simply swap the cord for shako

Others will likely tell you to drop the max block and throw on a spirit shield while switching out the viper for enigma as well. That would also let you drop down to a 10 fcr amulet with decent secondary mods.

Well ofc i can swapout whistans for lidless for certain mathtups, but i feel Like mb is needed?!

Or is it more about not getting hit at all, cause u die anyway no matter the Block?

I never played d2r so it's just a guess but i used to be pretty good as a sorc player few years ago, i always played non block and just try to not get hit at all 😄 so your last sentence makes sense

You give up way too much to gain max block. Spirit alone is 2 skills, 35 fcr, 112 mana, 55fhr, 22 vita. Swapping viper for enigma gives you an extra skill, 5% max life, 45% r/w, 8%dr and all that strength.

On top of that you have to dump 100+ points into dexterity for max block. In the end you’re losing way too much life, mana and damage to justify the max block, especially when it only helps you vs certain opponents.

Yup this is pretty much the best build for budget 105 esfb...for 75%block to work while keeping same 105/ life/mana/dmg requires alot more investment in terms of gear.

Tbh the budget build alone w/o maxblock can probably beat most of the players you encounter in pub games if you are careful and dont get greedy turreting.

If you think about it, the only time we actually lose is when we get greedy and try to get in acouple more shots or try to manfight them.

Swap circ for a Shako. It’s a great build for pubs.

u should get 2 setups.
u only need block vs bowa/barb/wwsin

use:
shako
eni
2xsoj
spirit
10fcr amu
frost
arach
manaboots/sands
hoto

blocksetup
2/20circ with dex
5fcr amu with dex
whistans(eld) upping it increases ur block by a lot but u need more str to wear it
hoto
arach
magefist
eni/twitch (depends on amu circ with eni u can up ur whistans)
wws
2xsoj
also cast ca for higher def

u can reach mb this way without putting a single point in dex

u should aim for 86fhr vs smiter and hammers rest u can get away with 60fhr
storm only on rly low esbuilds
