Just started playing a Mosaic sin and I am LOVING it

I am wondering, is there a trick to maintaining the buffs or are they just not ideal for things like Baal when you're having to wait in between waves?

you can use mindblast to convert mobs to help keep stacks up, stacks should still be up when they deconvert and you can hit them again

When it comes to baal you just have to tele to the side for a few kicks at wave 3

Before entering baals throne room, leave some bad guys alive at the doorway. After you kill Bartuc the bloody, go back to the doorway and kick one of the baddies you left (you don’t have to do this if there are no hydras up), now immediately go back to the baal run. After you clear wave 5 wait for baal to turn around and head to the world stone chamber. As soon as he turns around head back to that doorway, kick a monster and immediately enter world stone chamber to kill baal.

For chaos runs: after all seals are popped and you’re down to just the infector of souls, get infector of souls kinda low (optional), mind blast one of his minions til he converts, quickly kill infector of souls (pop last seal if you haven’t already), wait for dude to become UN-converted, kick him, tele to diablo.
