Yes and no.
If your merc goes to far away you lose fanaticism. And thus wf becomes much slower.
But the best damage output is you wearing wf and merc wearing faith. Throw a 39ed/15ias jewel in wf and the extra 35ias compared to faith GMB allows you to use a lot more swaps in gear.
