For purely PVM, erep does better than, say grief? Or any rws? I can see lots of high dmg ereps (200-500), vs rws?

Grief has damage to demons/level, which makes it better than even a theoretical perfect rare Legendary Mallet.

Depending on your build 2 handers outclass Grief I suppose, but I assume you're speaking about 1 handers.

grief outclasses any rares for pvm. rare erep fools weapons may get an advantage in melee pvp because they provide a huge AR boost which results in a higher chance to hit and thus more effective damage. this is however useless in pvm since monsters have quite low def (baal has around 2.8k iirc)

EDIT: 2H builds can be an exception, but there are few viable builds (charger is for pvp, maybe fury druid)

Not true, on weapon damage is much stronger on Legendary Mallets than Grief PB, it greatly outweighs the demon ED. Demon ED is considered as off weapon ED.



Legendary Mallet is stronger than Grief. Grief builds can still easily compete with Rares because Grief user can use Angelics and has 20 extra native Deadly Strike. Thus Highlords isn’t used in Grief Melee vs Melee.

@Soppamines, I do agree with you from the picture that Death is up there with Grief. But this is rather about Legendary Mallet, if you could post some info about how Grief has higher damage, I’d like to see this because my results from estimates show that LM is stronger.
