Should I be usuing act 2 infinity merc or is act 5 frenzy better for bone ce pvm..I do chaos Baal and nih a lot just figured an act 5 with grief and plague would drop a corpse fast for ce to work or does conviction aura benefit more??? Let me know what you think

Use bone spear and bone spirit to get a kill or two, cast amp damage, then use corpse explosion to blow everything up.

An act 2(prayer or holy freeze, since you aren't using minions)infinity merc would suit this play style best. Make a golem out of a crappy insight. Have your cake, and eat it, too

a5 mercs are generally garbage.

infy will increase your ce dmg, go for it. it's better on a summon/ce nec though as it also benefits your summons

most people use enigma so this is probably irrelevant, but you shouldn't use an act2 merc without teleport because they will just die. there is a huge difference in the survivability of the act 5 merc and act 2 merc. the exception is the prayer insight cure act 2 merc which are awesome.

A5 merc is always worse than a2

it's not simple for utility. damage is actually close. How do you figure the act 2 merc has more survivability? that is something that the act 5 has the clear advantage at. just talking about the prayer merc?

Act2 mercs don’t die if built right. Not to mention conviction lowers monsters defense, almost assuring the merc lands it’s hits, therefore leaching. Leaching means more life and thus survivability.

Also given conviction helps your corpses do more damage, thus killing monsters, making less monsters hit your merc because dead monsters do 0 damage.

Not to mention the crushing blow on infinity + conviction (lower Def) helps speed up boss killing, as that is what necs struggle at the most.
