In general the melee rings are used as stat rings to provide life, damage and attack rating. They are generally misused and over valued as a bk ring is generally better, that next to two ravens.

The better players use 36 ar scs and open wounds and hit the minimum damage requirements.

But nothing will make you scratch your head more than loosing to someone with a coa, 30 defense scs and a bk.
