So I’m running my sorc energy shield vita blizz and she’s pretty tanky

2.8k life
1.5k mana
17k defense
75% chance to block
71% energy shield / .75% dmg per mana
37% damage goes to mana
Damage reduced by 7
Magic damage reduced by 36

Currently not running damage reduction % but I was thinking about switching up a few things with some feedback or input if anyone has done similar.

Would it do any good to switch to

Would I benefit from the dr% more than my current mdr/dr setup?? I already barely ever get hit but I don’t have any dr% and I feel like I should get a little bit. I can solo any area on her and it takes a lot of monsters swinging at me to hit but when they do make contact I feel like I could tank a little better

%dr is like resist, not that useful when playing ES. same with dgtm btw

The only reason I have dgtm is because of tals.

He just means damage reduction doesn't factor into es calculations.

Lose the tals, get vmagi, nightwing, spirit shield(ss in stash), frostburns, sojs(more mana), and a deaths fathom. Boots are preference , but I use aldurs(40frw, fr, damage taken to mana). Put 17 into tk, then fill in blizz, synergies, and mastery. Life/mana scs and cold lifers

With this setup you're a house. I won multiple bets that I could take 3 hammers and not die. Vit/energy mix is iffy. I usually end up with 2.6k life and mana, respectively (with self bo). You also have respectable damage

This isn’t a energy sorc. This is a vitality sorc. I’m not asking how the calculations work, I understand how they work very well.
No need for nightwings fathom or spirit. I should probably mention, we play hardcore over here.
