Been building this sin for pvm and dabbling in pvp gear. Wondering if anyone has done some testing on chaos and plague as a pvp alternative for claws. Have my claws already, and most of the gear i assume I'll need.

Any tips, guides etc will be appreciated.

Plague is decent for pvp but gets blown out of the water by 5-10k rare claws.

I mean. I figured that. And I was about to edit and ask or am I dumb and should just save for a decent fools claw lol.

Being on ladder, there isn't much out there so I'm trying to compromise on my budget, which so far has been sufficient without buying a rare claw.

I could use some ideas for other gear outside of the obvious claws Enigma spider etc.

I have a 2/18 fcr ammy with str and light res. I have 2 very good fcr rings. 2/25 dancers teang gloves and currently a griffons.

I know a 2/20 visionary circ would be better and I'm guessing 102 fcr isn't necessary on a hybrid for most duels. But I'm not certain, therefore I'm asking. Would 65 fcr from griffons spider and trangs be good and then using ravenfrost, highlords and another ring be better? Or should I just go 102?

Due to changes in ias tables, WW changes (ias and being affected by slow and cold), 102 hybrid is only for those with an extensive budget. And quite frankly, just a gear swap for certain matchups as you will need a claw that’s hits max trap speed just from claw alone, without any help from other gear.

Where with 65 setup, you have highlords to help with ias breakpoints, and up to 2 15ias jewels in helm from a 2/20/2 circlet.


For a budget hybrid, you would be aiming for something like:
Feral chaos over boots with 3ls/1-3bs and ideally 1-3 Mb or 1-3 WB
Fury Runic Talon over gloves with 3ls/1-3mb and ideally 1-3 WB
2sin/20fcr/2 socket circlet with 2x jewels. Likely 2x 40ed/9dex. But can go rare jewels with Ed and Dex or Str or res or life rep etc etc
Enigma
Highlords
Trang glove
Raven frost
10fcr/ar/mana ring with a combo of Str Dex and life. Ideally with resist.
Dancers
Highlords
8x shadow disc GCs with life
36ar/19life small charms or 17life/5 resist small charms depending on matchup or a mix thereof
Cube buff with fade/venom claws and demon limb



From here, you look to upgrade to a rare claw. And that my mean you need to use 2x 40/15ias jewels.

But hybrid gearing is entirely dependent on budget.

One or two last questions.

So I have already rolled a greater talons chaos. Base is 3 ls 2 mb 1 bs. Would that be sufficient instead of Feral? I realize the damage is significantly less but I'm trying to work with what I have lol.

I also rolled a fury in a 3ls 2 mb gt...

The only runic I have is a 3 ls 2 mb 1 Boi and I just spent a small fortune rerolling plague in it, before asking these questions like a dummy.

If I neeeeeeed runic for fury, and Feral for chaos, I'll just find more bases and reroll I guess.

Another question is why shadow gcs over trap gcs, or a mixture of the two? Is it for higher venom/fade etc?

And do I substitute a shadow gc for a poison sunder or is that a pvm only thing?
