yes, magic sunder removes magic immunity. note though that there is no way to reduce magic resist, so your hammers only do 5% of their usual total dmg

You would be better off not using the sunder and using a pcomb GC.

Then on any immunes swap to fanaticism for your merc while you smite them with lvl 1 smite.

That lvl 1 smite while holding hoto will do more damage than your hammers only doing 5% of their damage.
